Uinta - Convert SHP file to DXF file

You can export data from Uinta as a SHP file and use a third-party software program to convert the file format to DXF for use in CAD applications. One software option is QGIS, a free, open source GIS program that easily converts SHP files to DXF files while maintaining the metadata.

To convert a SHP file to a DXF file using QGIS,

  1. Download and install QGIS.
  2. Export the Uinta data as a SHP file.
  3. Open QGIS and import the SHP file.
  4. Open the GIS layer and apply the labels you require.
  5. Export the project as a DXF file.
