Accuracy of background imagery in mapping apps

22 Dec 2022

Background imagery such as aerial and satellite photos can be highly useful for reference in apps such as Uinta, ESRI ArcGIS Field Maps, and more. When using background imagery in such apps while connected to a high accuracy GNSS/GPS receiver such as the Geode, comparing the position shown for the receiver to the imagery can appear to be less accurate than desired. The following web pages discuss the accuracy of background imagery.
