Wifi network saved but not connected in Android
9 Oct 2020
Update: 28 Oct 2022 - This may now be improved on Allegro 3 and Archer 3 with our latest OS patch 1.1.7
In the Android operating system, a Wi-Fi network may be Saved but not connected even when the device is in range of an access point on that network. Some possible solutions are as follows.
Verify that the Android device is not in Airplane mode. Depending on the version of Android, you often can find this by swiping down twice from the top of the screen (sometimes also swipe right), or by holding the Power button.
Sometimes you need to Forget a network and then pair to that network again. This is done under Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi, tap on the network name or the gear icon next to it, and then tap Forget.
On an Archer 3 or Allegro 3, before the latest updates you may have paired a 5 Ghz network that would not function, which you will need to Forget before updating then pairing to a supported 2.4 Ghz network. Further details and other related ideas are at this web page.
