BackAllegro keyboard not responding

If the hardware keyboard on an Allegro Field PC is not responding when buttons are pressed, some possible solutions are described below.
Insert a penny or flat head screw driver into the slot at the bottom of the plastic keyboard bezel on the Allegro to lever and lift it completely off the unit. Test the keyboard while it is removed. If needed, wiggle or adjust the rubber keys to ensure they are all seated properly over each corresponding button on the underlying electronic keyboard switch matrix (if you can tell). Also, if needed clean the bezel and rinse out debris around the rubber keys and beneath the case housing (using a toothbrush and light soap if necessary).
