Introduction of the Allegro DOS Field PC

The Allegro DOS Field PC was introduced as a replacement for the original Allegro CE/DOS Field PC to provide a continued solution for legacy DOS software applications, while other Windows CE applications were being moved to the Allegro CE Field PC. It offered a hardened tempered glass display cover which was more durable than the resistive touchscreens provided on other rugged Windows-based products and models.
