Allegro Wireless Keyboard Function Keys

5 Mar 2025

Within your software application, you can set up the function keys on the Allegro Wireless Keyboard (F1, F2, and so on) to trigger specific actions in the application. For example, you can set F1 to close the current screen and F2 to open dropdown lists. To use this functionality, your application must support key press customization. Keep in mind that key press customizations set in one application do not carry over to other applications.

If your application supports key press customization, follow these steps.

  1. Set up the application to detect key presses sent by the keyboard.
  2. Program the application to perform the desired action when a function key is pressed.

Download the provided test application and instructions for a demonstration of key press customization.

Note: You cannot customize the LED behavior on the Allegro keyboard.
