Uinta - Add a Line to the Map

A line in Uinta can be mapped in two different ways: Manual and Auto. Manual allows the user to manually add points to the line when desired. Auto will automatically add points to the line through a designated time or distance interval.

Add a Line Manually

  1. Verify your GPS is connected properly.

  2. Tap the orange plus button.

  3. Under Record Type, select Line.

  4. Select Manual.

  5. Tap Start.

  6. Tap the small add button at the bottom of the screen to add a point and begin your line.

  7. Move your GPS to where you would like to add the next point.

  8. Tap Add.

  9. Repeat steps 7 and 8 until you have completed your line.

    • To add a separate point while mapping your line,

      1. Select the orange plus button.

      2. Under Select Record Type, choose the kind of point you would like to map.

      3. If desired, enter information about the point (name, description, etc.).

      4. Select Save.

      5. Continue mapping your line.

  10. Tap Finish.

  11. If desired, you can enter additional information about the line.

  12. Tap Save.

 

Add a Line Automatically

  1. Verify your GPS is connected properly.

  2. Tap the orange plus button.

  3. Under Record Type, select Line.

  4. Select Auto.

  5. Enter the desired interval between each point and choose if you would like the distance between each point to be measured in feet or seconds.

  6. Tap Start.

  7. Points will automatically begin to appear on your line.

    • To add a separate point while mapping your line,

      1. Tap Pause.

      2. Select the orange plus button.

      3. Under Select Record Type, choose the kind of point you would like to map.

      4. If desired, enter information about the point (name, description, etc.).

      5. Select Save.

      6. Tap Resume.

      7. Continue mapping your line.

  8. When you have completed your line, tap Finish.

  9. If desired, you can enter additional information about the line.

  10. Tap Save.
