Setting up a static IP address on Allegro 2 or Archer 2

To set up a static IP address such as on the Archer 2 or Allegro 2, follow these steps.

  1. Tap on Start > Settings > Connections > Wireless Manager. This is even if using a wired (Ethernet) connection.
  2. Tap on Menu > Wi-Fi Settings > Network Adapters tab.
  3. If using Ethernet with an Archer 2 or Allegro 2, tap on the SMSC9500 Ethernet Driver. If using Wifi, tap on tiwlnapi1. For an original Mesa using an Ethernet Dock, tap on Ethernet ASIX Port.
  4. In the IP Address tab, select the "Use specific IP address" button.
  5. Enter the desired static IP address, and then tap OK.
