Cedar cellular network settings and compatibility
13 May 2022
UPDATE 22 Aug 2022 - As cellular networks sunset their 3G network, they may also disable some functions that are still used by some 4G LTE cellular modem models. As an example, for the Cedar CT8x2 you may need to activate a new data-only AT&T plan instead of data+voice plan. If you are not able to activate a new AT&T SIM card, you may be able to still activate a new T-Mobile SIM card instead.
For official general instructions, please refer to the following web page.

Now test your cellular data to make sure it works.
June 2019
Our Cedar products have been tested and work with the following networks.
- AT&T
- T-Mobile
Coverage using T-Mobile with our Cedar devices may be limited.
You may have to Toggle the Data on in order to access the Internet.
- After the Sim card is installed. swipe from the Top Down to access the quick settings on the device.
- Tap on the Network bars showing the signal Strength.
- Toggle the Data to the On position. after about a min you should see the "3G" or "4G" signal appear next to the signal strength bar.
You may also have to put in APN settings manually. In order to access the APN settings, head to Settings > More > Cellular Networks > Access Point Names. In case you are not sure about your APN settings, it’s better to contact your carrier to get the correct APN settings.
