Mesa 2 goes to sleep with each tap on touchscreen
10 Jan 2018
On rare occasions, a Mesa 2 unit may go to Sleep with each tap on the touchscreen. Online reports indicate that this has also been encountered on other touchscreen devices running the Microsoft Windows 10 operating system. This seems to most often occur when the device is not stored properly for a long period, such as is explained starting on page 52 in the Mesa 2 manual.
When this issue has been encountered, customers report that performing a Restart has resolved the issue. If not, perform a Shut Down (if possible) then a Hard Reset by holding the Power button for over 20 seconds, wait a few seconds, then attach wall charger and briefly press the Power button again to boot back up. Maintaining and storing the Mesa 2 properly should avoid the issue in the future.
