BackBluetooth options for the Archer

The following options are recommended for adding Bluetooth wireless technology to the Archer Field PC (requires OS release 1.03 or higher):
- Integrated Bluetooth
- Socket Mobile Bluetooth CF and SDIO Cards
- Brainboxes, Inc. Class I Bluetooth CF Card

Integrated Bluetooth
The Archer Field PC can now be purchased with integrated Bluetooth. Integrated Bluetooth on the Archer Field PC uses the Microsoft Bluetooth software drivers. For more information about integrated Bluetooth and the Microsoft drivers, please review chapter 8 of the latest version of the Archer Field PC User`s Guide starting on page 72. Note: Using integrated Bluetooth disables the use of the other recommended Bluetooth options.
The integrated Bluetooth and Microsoft Bluetooth software drivers allow the use of the following Bluetooth profiles: SPP, DUN, HID, and OPP.

Socket Communications, Inc. Bluetooth CF and SDIO Cards
The Bluetooth CF and SDIO cards from Socket Mobile are recommended for use in the Archer Field PC. These cards can be used with either the Bluetooth software drivers from Socket Mobile, Inc. or from Microsoft, Inc. (pre-installed on the Archer). Using the Socket Bluetooth cards with the Socket Bluetooth software drivers allow the use of the following Bluetooth profiles: SPP, DUN, LAN, OPP, OBEX, FTP, and FAX. For more information about using the Socket software drivers with a Socket Bluetooth card, please refer to the Socket Communications software download and documentation website.
Using the Socket Bluetooth cards with the Microsoft Bluetooth software drivers allow the use of the following Bluetooth profiles: SPP, DUN, HID, OPP, and A2DP. For more information about using the Microsoft software drivers with a Socket Bluetooth card, please review chapter 8 of the latest version of the Archer Field PC User`s Guide starting on page 72. Brainboxes, Inc. Class I Bluetooth CF Card
The Bluetooth CF card from Brainboxes, Inc. is approved for use with the Archer Field PC (requires at minimum the purchase and use of the Communications Extended Cap). This card can be used with the Microsoft Bluetooth software drivers (pre-installed on the Archer) or with the BroadCom (formerly Widcomm) Bluetooth software drivers (separate install required).
