LOGAN, Utah, USA, October 23, 2007. Juniper Systems, Inc and OnPOZ Precision Positioning launched today the new ScoutPak GPS especially designed for the forestry market at the Society of American Foresters National Convention (SAF) in Portland, Oregon.
This new product outperforms all existing GPS products in terms of productivity, dynamic accuracy, and static accuracy while operating in the deepest forest areas. The ScoutPak GPS has been evaluated at Clackamas, Powell and Lubrecht GPS test courses maintained by the USDA Forest Service. Several head-to- head comparisons with professional GPS devices have been done to evaluate the real performance of the ScoutPak. Results obtained on these test courses establish a new standard in GPS data acquisition under dense canopy.
In the most difficult areas, foresters are suffering frequent downtime with current high-end GPS devices.
