Force Extended Security Updates Offer for Mesa 3

This information applies to Mesa 3 Windows, Mesa 2 Windows.
If you would like to continue to receive security updates for Windows 10 Pro after 14 October 2025, you can enroll in extended security updates.
The Extended Security Updates costs $29.99. However, if you back up your PC settings (save your settings, apps, and credentials), you may get the ESU update free until 13 Oct 2026.
From System Settings > Accounts > Windows backup, enable one or both of the following settings to qualify for the free extended updates:
- Get quick access to apps on Windows device
- Quickly access your preferences across Microsoft experiences
To force the Microsoft Extended Security Updates (ESU) offer to show on the Mesa 2 and Mesa 3 running Windows 10 Pro follow the instructions below.
While logged into a Microsoft account as an administrator on a device with Windows 10, version 22h2 with KB5046613, or a later update installed,
- Open the Windows Start menu.
- Search for Command Prompt.
- Choose to Run as Adminstrator by right clicking with a mouse or tapping an holding finger on Command Prompt.
- Enter reg.exe query "HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows\ConsumerESU"
Look for ESUEligibility to be a nonzero "0x0", which means that the feature is enabled. - Enter sc.exe config DiagTrack start= auto
Look for the response: [SC] ChangeServiceConfig SUCCESS. - Enter sc.exe start DiagTrack
Look for the following response:
[SC] Start Service FAILED 1056:
An instance of this service is already running. - Enter reg.exe add "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Policies\Microsoft\FeatureManagement\Overrides" /v 4011992206 /t REG_DWORD /d 2 /f
Look for the response: SUCCCESS - From the Windows start menu, select Restart.
- From the Windows Start menu, search for Command Prompt.
- Choose to Run as Adminstrator by right clicking with a mouse or tapping and holding finger on Command Prompt.
- Enter cmd /c ClipESUConsumer.exe -evaluateEligibility
- From System settings > Update & Security > Windows Update, look for the following notification:
- Select Enroll now.
