Holding the Power Button Activates the Digital Assistant

This information applies to Mesa 3 Android and Archer 4 running Android 14 or later.

Starting with Android 14, pressing the Power button activates the digital assistant by default. In earlier versions, pressing the Power button opened the Power menu with options for Power off, Restart, or Shutdown.

To access the Power menu:

  • Archer 4—Press and release the Power button with the Left Arrow (Volume Up) button.

  • Mesa 3—Press and release the Power button and the Right Arrow (Volume Up) button.

To change the Power button functionality, 

  1. Select Settings > System > Gestures > Press and hold power button.

  2. Select Power menu. 


  3. Close Settings.
