Recommended Settings for the Archer 4 GPS/GNSS Expansion

Install the GPS/GNSS antenna expansion as directed in the Archer 4 User Manual, section 3.2 Sub-meter GPS/GNSS page 26. 

When using the enhanced precision of the antenna expansion or an external receiver, like the Geode, you will get the best performance if you also disable Google Location Sharing, Location Accuracy, Wi-Fi Scanning, and Bluetooth Scanning. Note: Turning off the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi scanning does not affect data transmission with Wi-Fi networks or paired Bluetooth devices (such as a Geode). The scanning is used to augment location services by communicating with other nearby devices.

To disable these features, 

1. Open Settings.
2. Tap Location.
3. Tap Location Services.
4. Turn off
   • Google Location Sharing
   • Location Accuracy
     
   • Wi-Fi Scanning
     
   • Bluetooth Scanning
