Geode Grip

Geode Grip makes field mapping simpler by connecting the Geode and a smartphone or tablet to a comfortable hand grip for one-handed use.

Geode Grip accommodates a variety of devices.

32389 Geode Grip for Smartphone Fits smartphones from 4.7 to 6.6 inches in length (L) x 3.46 inches in width (W) x 0.67 inches in thickness (T) (120 to 168 mm (L) x 84 mm (W) x 16 mm (T))
32390 Geode Grip for Mesa® Rugged Tablet Fits all Mesa 7-inch (178 mm) tablets. Includes four M4x10 mm screws for attaching the tray.
32391 Geode Grip for Archer™ 4 Fits the Archer 4 handheld device. Includes four M4x10 screws for attaching the tray.
32392 Geode Grip Base (AMPS Hole Pattern) Fits a variety of device mounts that use the AMPS 4-hole pattern (38 mm x 30 mm), such as RAM® Tab-Tite™ and EZ-Roll'r™ mounts. Includes four M4x10 mm screws for attaching the mount.

Use Geode Grip for Smartphone

To attach the smartphone and GNSS receiver to the Geode Grip,

  1. Attach the mounting screw on the Geode Grip to the mount adapter on the bottom of the GNSS receiver. 
  2. Pull down the spring-loaded lower assembly. 
  3. Insert the smartphone.
  4. Release the lower assembly. The tray adjusts to securely hold your smartphone.

 

Use Geode Grip for Mesa 7 Inch Tablets

To attach the Mesa tablet and GNSS receiver to the Geode Grip,

  1. Attach the mounting screw on the Geode Grip to the mount adapter on the bottom of the GNSS receiver.
  2. Rotate the tray to your preferred orientation, either landscape or portrait.
  3. Use a #1 Phillips screwdriver and four M4x10 screws to attach the tray to the Geode Grip. Use the holes indicated in the diagrams below.

  1. Place the long edge of the Mesa tablet in the tray. Press down on the tablet until it snaps into place.

 

Use Geode Grip for Archer 4

To attach the Archer 4 and GNSS receiver to the Geode Grip,

  1. Attach the mounting screw on the Geode Grip to the mount adapter on the bottom of the GNSS receiver.
  2. Use a #1 Phillips screwdriver and four M4x10 screws to attach the tray to the Geode Grip. Use the holes indicated in the diagram below.
  3. Place the long side of the Archer 4 in the tray. Press down on the other side of the Archer 4 until it snaps into place.
