SD Card in File Explorer

This information applies to Mesa Pro.

If you insert an unnamed SD card into the Mesa Pro SD card tray, it will show in File Explorer as USB Drive. (You might expect it to see it called SD Card or Secure Digital storage device.) 

To make the card more recognizable in File Explorer, assign it a name

  1. Right click USB Drive in File Explorer.
  2. Select  Properties.
  3. Enter the preferred name for the SD card in the box in the General tab.
  4. Tap OK.

The preferred name will show in File Explorer. The name is stored on the card and will show in File Explorer when used in the future.
