Firmware Updates for Mesa 4

Firmware updates for the BIOS (UEFI) and EC (Embedded Controller) are available for Mesa 4. For detailed information about the changes, review the release notes.
To install the firmware,
- Attach external power supply.
- Connect to internet (if not already).
- Open Device Settings > Update, and select Check for updates.
- Select to install firmware updates. System will likely restart during process.
If you need to install offline or through custom system security,
- Download the following files to the Mesa 4.
- Mesa4_BIOSUpdater_v1.01.exe (Juniper-brand specific)
- MS4_ECUpdater_v1_05.exe
- Attach external power supply.
- Run each file.
- Follow the on-screen instructions. System will likely restart during process.
Special Commands
If needed, the firmware updaters support a few command line arguments as follows.
For the BIOS Updater:
| -passive | Runs silent, skips the user interaction (and warnings). |
| -noreboot | Do not automatically reboot the device after the firmware has been programmed. |
For the EC Updater:
| -ec | Re-program the firmware even if it is already running the same or newer version. |
| -noreboot | Do not automatically reboot the device after the firmware has been programmed. |
| -nobuttons | Do not require user to press buttons to continue the update process. |
