Set Factory Defaults on Allegro 3 and Archer 3

Occasionally, Android AOSP may start behaving in an unexpected manner. A factory reset will put the device back to "out of the box" settings. This will wipe any data on the device. To reset your Allegro 3 or Archer 3, follow the steps below:

  1. Open the Settings App and scroll to and select "Backup & Reset"
  2. Tap on “Factory data reset”
  3. Tap the “RESET TABLET” button at the bottom of the screen
  4. Enter your device PIN if requested
  5. Tap the “ERASE EVERYTHING” button

Leave device plugged in while reset process completes then shut it down when start screen appears

If you cannot enter the system settings, use the following method on your Allegro 3 (scroll down for Archer 3):

1. Power down the device (hold power 10-15 seconds)
2. Hold ctrl+alt+del and press power. Continue holding ctrl+alt+del until you get a screen that says “No Command”
3. Briefly hold power and press the blue function key+right (volume up) and you should enter a recovery menu.
4. Use volume up/down (blue+left/blue+right) to navigate to “wipe data/factory reset” and press power to accept
5. Select yes using volume keys and press power.
6. When it is finished, the device will say “Data Wipe Complete” and you can press power once more to reboot.

 

If you cannot enter the system settings, use the following method on your Archer 3:

1. Power down the device (hold power 10-15 seconds)
2. Hold 1+3+0 and press power. Continue holding1+3+0 until you get a screen that says “No Command”
3. Briefly hold power and press the shift key+P4 (volume up) and you should enter a recovery menu.
4. Use volume up/down (shift+p4/shift+backspace) to navigate to “wipe data/factory reset” and press power to accept
5. Select yes using volume keys and press power.
6. When it is finished, the device will say “Data Wipe Complete” and you can press power once more to reboot.
