Disabling the On-Screen Keyboard

This information applies to Archer 4 and the Allegro Wireless Keyboard.

The Allegro Wireless Keyboard eliminates the need for the on-screen keyboard. On the Archer 4, you may need to turn off the on-screen keyboard in two separate settings. Before you begin, ensure the Archer 4 is paired to the Allegro Wireless Keyboard.

Setting A: Gboard Virtual Keyboard App

  1. From the Settings search bar, enter Gboard.
  2. From the search results, select Gboard...Manage keyboards. 

  1. Tap Gboard.

  1. In the left pane, scroll to select Physical keyboard.
  2. Ensure Show on-screen keyboard is off.


 

Setting B: On-Screen System Keyboard

  1. From Settings, select System > Keyboard > Physical keyboard.
  2. Ensure Use on-screen keyboard is off.
